Akimi Fukuhara

Akimi Fukuhara has studied at San Francisco Conservatory of Music with Prof. Mack McCray and Dr. Sharon Mann, and at the Juilliard School with Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky. She was named 2011 CHANEL Pygmalion Days Artist in Japan. She has appeared at the San Francisco Symphony’s Chamber Music Series. Her two solo albums are available at the NAXOS Music Library.

Naoya Kanai

Japanese-American cellist and Palo Alto native Naoya Kanai has performed at the Aspen, Banff, Orford and Takefu festivals. An alumnus of Stanford University and The Juilliard School, his teachers include Irene Sharp, Christopher Costanza, and Fred Sherry. Naoya has performed concerti with the Stanford Symphony Orchestra and California Youth Symphony, and served as principal cellist of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra and Aspen Concert Orchestra. He enjoys contemporary music, programming, soccer, languages and basketball.


Hugo Kitano

Praised in the International Piano Magazine as “unusual for a player of his age and an excellent augury for the future,” Hugo Kitano is the first place prize-winner in numerous national and international competitions, including the International Russian Music Piano Competition, the Arthur Fraser International Piano Competition, and was the highest prize winner of the Moscow International Frederic Chopin Competition for Young Pianists. Hugo is currently a student of Stanford University, majoring in Music and Computer Science.


Miyuki Otani

Audiences and critics alike have hailed her performances for their great "musicality, feeling and unflagging technique " "marvelous facility ...dazzling in its clarity and delicacy." Graduate of the Boston Conservatory, Miyuki's numerous Concerto Performances with Orchestra include Cape Ann Symphony, Melroze Symphony, Quincy Symphony and Tahoe Toccata Symphony.
